Welcome to the new Career Corner section of the Chicago Chapter web page! Every month or so, this section will address the changing job market in the Chicagoland area. This month, we address how the Career Services Committee is in place to serve you, the member. Here are the services we offer to our members…

• All unemployed members may attend Monthly Program Meetings (Thursdays) and Lunch and Learn Meetings FREE OF CHARGE for a period of six months. Just show up at the meeting, sign in, and let us know you are taking advantage of this service. These meetings allow a member to continue to stay current on facilities issues, network with peers and make contacts.
• IFMA members please follow the simple steps to "Post A Job" within the Current Job Posting section. Upon completion of the posting please contact Jerry DiCola at jdicola@usebrinks.com or Liz Vonesh at lvonesh@himss.org and they will arrange for you to receive $10,000 IFMA Bucks for each posting. There is no limit on the number of Facilities related positions you can post on the website.
• A list of Facilities-friendly recruiters is posted as a resource for job seekers.
• Employment, networking and career-oriented seminars provided by the Chicagoland Chapter are being discussed now. If you have suggestions regarding what type of seminar you'd like to see presented, please contact a committee member.
• The new Career Corner section will keep members updated on the marketplace in Chicago. If you would like to contribute an article to Career Corner, please contact Jerry DiCola and earn 5,000 IFMA Bucks when it is posted to the site.
• The Career Services Committee is always seeking information and ideas as to how we can best serve our valued membership. Please don't hesitate to contact us with your suggestions, comments and questions!
