Community Service
The Community Service Committee has been very busy with several projects (see below). In addition, committee brochures have been created and mailed to all members describing activities and soliciting new members to help out on various projects.
Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon Recap
Thanks to all who participated in IFMA’S 8th Annual Bowl-A-Thon! It was an amazing event and it was great to see so many of you there. Check out the team photos from our April 17, 2008 fund raiser for Junior Achievement of Chicago on our website- www.ifma-chi.org.
Statistics to share:
- IFMA raised $17,846 for the JA Bowl-A-Thon. We surpassed our goal and raised over $5,000 more than last year! A total of $390 was raised from the raffle.
- A total of 36 lanes were filled with 180 bowlers. Sold Out!
- IFMA’s contribution will directly benefit over 1,049 students in the Chicagoland area. These funds help pay for the resources that are used in the classrooms during Junior Achievement programs. It cost approximately $17.00 to bring JA to one student. Specifically, the funds that IFMA raised will help pay for the kits that are used to teach students about our economic programs.
A very special thank you to our vendors for providing us with
amazing raffle items: OWP&P, Koroseal, Garvey Office Products
and Kayhan International.
We look forward to seeing you at the
2009 IFMA/Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon!
