9th Annual Bowl-A-Thon

In April 2009, IFMA members, co-workers and friends participated in its annual bowl-a-thon fundraiser. The monies raised benefited the Salvation Army and its many programs. Below are a few highlights from the event.

• IFMA raised $17,324.00 for the Salvation Army Bowl-A-Thon. This far exceeded our goal of raising $100 per bowler!;
• Approximately $550.00 was raised from the raffle drawings;
• A total of 35 lanes were filled with 156 bowlers;
• Dozens of participants received IFMA bucks for bowling a strike;
• One $75.00 Target gift card and (3) $30.00 Target gift cards were awarded; and
• Over 49 movie passes were distributed

Salvation Army staffers who tended to the prizes concluded that the IFMA Buck Giveaway was very successful! They were depleted of the popular bucks in less than three hours.

A very special thank you to the Community Services Committee, our vendors, and local businesses for providing us with amazing raffle items. We look forward to seeing you at the 2010 IFMA Bowl-A-Thon!
